Mass Isolation Project

With COVID-19 causing a worldwide pandemic and affecting our daily way of living, it was suggested by my tutor that myself and everyone on the course should participate in the Mass Isolation Project and produce a series of images in which showcase the emptiness of our streets and transplant caused by this situation.

The image you see here is the original version where only a minor crop amendment has took place and this is because there was some sides of the The Pinnacles accommodation which both and looked and felt out of place.

As you can see, there’s no residents of The Pinnacles in shot and thats because the government guidelines have recommended a 2 metre distance and staying indoors meaning they’ve either returned home or remained in their flats and only going out for necessary reasons such as shopping or laundry.

An edited version has been uploaded to my portfolio.

Another shot of my accommodation (The Pinnacles) however from a portraiture orientation, demonstrates another angle in which, again shows emptiness with the Court Yard chairs and table in shot.

Similar to what’s displayed in my portfolio however the only difference is the door is closed in this shot whereas it’s open in the portfolio shot, this image shows the vacancy within the accommodation interior, in the fact that the corridors remain empty, with the lighting (non-edited) capturing an eerie, ghostly feel.
